Our Youth Designed the Next John Geiger 004
To John Geiger, design has always been about more than just sneakers it’s about storytelling, creativity, and pushing culture forward. This month, he took that mission into the classroom with an initiative that gave over 130 students the chance to create their own version of the 004 silhouette.
From the Classroom to the Culture
In partnership with @ad__sneaks and @x_juanwilson, John Geiger volunteered to teach and mentor students on sneaker design. Each class had the opportunity to put pen to paper and imagine their own 004. Out of 130 submissions, the top designs were narrowed down and shared with the public for a final vote.
The Power of Follow Through
John has always said that his biggest belief in design is the “follow through.” It’s not just about creating something t’s about bringing it to life. That’s why we took this project a step further. Instead of stopping at sketches, we committed to producing the winning sneaker and releasing it for sale, with profits going directly to build a new art lounge at the school.
And the Winner Is… Mason
After thousands of votes were cast, Mason’s “Good Day” design emerged as the winner. His playful, colorful interpretation of the 004 covered in bright flowers and bold detailing instantly captured hearts. It’s a design that feels fresh, joyful, and perfectly in line with the next generation of creativity.
Bringing Mason’s Vision to Life
The “Good Day” 004 will officially go live for preorder, with every pair purchased helping fund the new art lab at @ad__sneaks. This space will fuel future creativity, giving more students the tools to dream, design, and bring their ideas to reality.
More Than Just Sneakers
This project wasn’t just about creating another drop. It was about empowering youth, showing them the value of their ideas, and giving them real world proof that creativity can build opportunities. Mason’s win is a win for every student who put pencil to paper and believed in the possibility of their design.
Stay tuned for updates as we share the sample and production process and don’t miss your chance to support the art lab when preorders go live.
Our youth is the future of design. The future just got its first pair of 004s.
