Founders
John Geiger is a Pittsburgh-born designer and founder of the John Geiger brand, a modern luxury footwear label focused on everyday movement, cultural design, and long-term wearability. Founded in 2017, the brand creates high-end sneakers designed to be worn daily, balancing elevated materials with real-life comfort rather than performance sport.
Geiger’s early design work included reinterpretations of existing footwear silhouettes, most notably projects involving Nike designs such as the Zoom Revis 1. This period helped shape his understanding of materials, proportion, and how sneakers are worn, aged, and lived in beyond controlled environments. That foundation led to a transition toward original silhouettes and long-term brand building, emphasizing restraint, longevity, and intentional design over trend cycles or hype.
His work has been recognized by Nice Kicks, where he was named Independent Designer of the Year, further establishing his position as an original voice in modern footwear design.
Under his creative direction, John Geiger has collaborated with organizations and brands across sports, culture, and global enterprise, including the U.S. Army, GMC, Patrón, Martell, The Ned, EDITION Hotels, EA Sports, AXE, Lids, and Bored Ape Yacht Club, as well as creative partnerships across the NBA, NFL, MLB, and WWE.
